Refund Policy

This policy explains when and how maisondecharme-granville.com refunds all or part of the sums paid on the maisondecharme-granville.com website for:

  • gîte bookings (Granville and Folligny),

  • additional services (breakfast, bike rental, singing lessons, massage).

For more details (cancellation conditions, liabilities, etc.), please consult our General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC).

1) Accommodation (Gîtes): General Principle

Accommodation bookings are services provided on a specific date or period. As such, the right of withdrawal applicable to certain distance sales does not apply to accommodation bookings.
Any potential refunds therefore depend on our cancellation policy below.

2) Payments upon Booking: Earnest Money Deposit

Earnest Money Deposit:
Upon booking, you pay an earnest money deposit of 30% of the total amount. In case of cancellation under the conditions set out in Article 3, the earnest money deposit may be retained in whole or in part depending on the cancellation period.

3) Cancellation of a Stay: Refunds

The date taken into account is the date of receipt of your written cancellation request (email) via the site's contact form.

  • More than 3 days before arrival: 100% refund of sums paid, excluding any potential bank charges.

  • Between 1 and 3 days before arrival: 50% refund.

  • Less than 1 day before arrival: no refund (100% of the stay is due).

  • No-show / early departure: no refund.

Date Change (Postponement)
Subject to availability, we may offer a postponement. The conditions (fees, price difference, deadline) are specified on a case-by-case basis and/or in the GTC.

4) Additional Services: Refunds

Conditions may vary depending on the service and whether it is provided by us or by a partner.

4.1 Breakfast / Bike Rental (example)

  • Cancellation up to 24 hours before: 100% refund.

  • Less than 24 hours before: 50% refunded.

4.2 Singing Lessons / Massage

  • If the service is provided and collected by maisondecharme-granville.com: the above rule or the GTC apply.

  • If the service is provided/collected by a partner provider: the refund is subject to the provider's conditions, which we will communicate to you at the time of booking.

5) Cancellation by Us

If we have to cancel your stay for a reason attributable to maisondecharme-granville.com (excluding force majeure), you can choose between:

  • a full refund of the sums paid, or

  • a postponement / an alternative solution (if possible).

6) Force Majeure / Exceptional Circumstances

In the event of circumstances beyond the control of the parties (natural disaster, administrative closure, etc.), a solution (postponement/credit/partial refund) may be offered depending on the situation, in compliance with the GTC and applicable regulations.

7) Fees and Refund Procedures

Refunds are made via the same payment method used during the purchase, unless otherwise agreed.

  • Processing time: 7 business days from the validation of the refund.

  • Non-recoverable transaction fees (e.g., certain bank charges) may, where applicable, be deducted if this is provided for in the GTC and announced before payment.

8) How to Request a Refund?

Send an email via the website's contact form, including:

  • first name + last name,

  • stay dates,

  • booking reference (if available),

  • reason (optional, except in specific cases).

We will respond within 72 business hours.

9) Free PDF Guide (Free Digital Product)

As the local PDF guide is free, there is no refund associated with it.
